‘Not only RMG, but also technology’
'4th industrial revolution will lead to the amazing development of technology which will turn physical labours into mechanical', said Mustafa Jabbar, Minister, Ministry of Posts, Tele Communications and Information Technology.
All sectors including RMG should be prepared to face the challenges of this conversion, so that Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, IoT, Blockchain or Big data can not hamper the conventional labour market. While attending a virtual programme to inaugurate a mobile app today (6 March) arranged by BGMEA for their members, he puts emphasis on the importance of proper planning and implementation to keep the labour force active. "Bangladesh will not stay behind even in the era of 4th industrial revolution", he added that, "We shall export not only RMG but also Robots, IoT, Blockchain, AI, Big data and so on."
Anir Chowdhury, Senior Policy Advisor, A2I Programme and S. A. Samad, Vice President, BGMEA delivered their speeches in the programme while Rubana Haq, President, BGMEA presided over the meeting.
